An exposed welded tip junction, insulated with ceramic twin or four-bore insulators. Commonly used as replacement inserts for TCR (Ceramic Sheathed Thermocouple Sensor) and THD (Metal Sheathed Heavy-Duty Thermocouple Sensor) assemblies.

- Impervious Recrystalised Alumina (1700°C)
